POSITION:  A&P Certified Technician

Western Aero Repair is currently accepting applications for qualified A&P Certified Technician.

We are an FAA and EASA certified repair station, centrally located near I-25 and I-70. In our indoor, climate-controlled production facility, we provide services to overhaul fixed-wing structures for military and commercial aircraft. Our primary focus is component repair/overhaul of all flight control surfaces, doors, landing gear, and structures (ATA Chapters: 20, 27, 32, 51, 52, 53, 54, 55, 56, and 57). The components are worked either in fixtures or on bench, and work involves a combination of sheet metal and mechanical skillsets.



  • Active FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certification

  • Prefer two years’ work experience in the aviation industry, or similar production or repair facility is desired; however, an individual's skillsets will be evaluated through a practical, written, and verbal assessment during the interview process

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of experience and training which qualifies the employee to perform the essential job duties of the position.

  • •  Ability to speak, read, write and understand the English language

  • Ability to lift 70 lbs

  • Ability to pass both pre-employment and FAA random drug and alcohol screening tests. Western Aero Repair, Inc. has a Zero Tolerance Drug-Free Workplace.

  • Knowledge of fabrication techniques, tools and principles for aircraft structures.

  • Possess high level of accuracy and attention to detail in performance of job duties.

  • Possess basic decision making and problem solving skills.

  • Interpret and follow written instructions such as those contained in maintenance manuals, service bulletins and travelers
  • Troubleshoot airframe structures

  • Complete repairs, replacements, maintenance on the aircraft and aircraft systems according to Western Aero Repair policies

  • Repair sheet metal or composite surfaces

  • Follow safety procedures and policies

  • Complete work within specified timeline

  • Complete Repair Station paperwork

  • Perform initial and annual recurrent training

  • Complete any other tasks assigned by management


Depending on experience and skills, the starting pay range is $43,680 to $47,840 per year.
